Live Demonstrations to Highlight Purification, Rapid Deployment and Renewable Energy Integration.
Williamsport, MD – March 12, 2025 – Optimize Water Solutions will demonstrate its innovative mobile solar-powered water purification units at the upcoming 18th annual STAR-TIDES (Sharing To Accelerate Research - Transformative Innovation for Development and Emergency Support) demo event, taking place at George Mason University's Mason Square facility in Arlington, VA from April 13-15, 2025. These units are designed to deliver clean and safe drinking water in disaster response, humanitarian aid, and remote community settings, providing a sustainable solution for water security challenges. They are also available, effective, and scalable in the removal of long-standing water quality issues, including PFAS ‘forever chemicals.”
STAR-TIDES is a prominent event that brings together global experts in resilience-building, humanitarian assistance, and emergency response. Attendees include government agencies, non-profits, private sector leaders, and academic institutions.
"Our mobile solar-powered water purification units are built to deliver reliable access to clean water where and when it's needed most," said Len Jornlin, CEO of Optimize Water Solutions. "We are pleased to present our technology to a diverse audience of decision-makers, demonstrating how this solution can support communities in need, particularly when the electric grid is down, or where there is no grid."
The demonstration will feature the mobile unit's ability to:
- Deliver purified drinking water in off-grid environments
- Utilize renewable solar energy for sustainable operation
- Quickly deploy for emergency response and disaster relief scenarios.
Optimize Water Solutions invites attendees to visit their outside exhibit area for live demonstrations and discussions with the development team on Monday, April 14.
Demonstrations will highlight recent significant system performance upgrades. The enhancements include the integration of a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) battery and high-efficiency solar panels, more than doubling the system's potable water output from 800 to 1,800 gallons-per-day (GPD) in its Reverse Osmosis (RO) model. (7,500 GPD via Ultrafiltration). Improvements also increased solar generation capacity by 40%, upgraded the system's inverter capacity seven-fold, and improved energy efficiency across key components. The result is a more powerful, robust, and reliable solution for off-grid water purification needs.
